Croatia

Over the past 24 hours, Croatia has registered 1,000 new cases of coronavirus infection and 27 related deaths, the national Covid-19 crisis management team said on Wednesday.

The number of active cases today stands at 5,223. There are 1,508 Covid patients in hospitals, 163 of whom are on ventilators, and 17,102 people are in self-isolation.

To date, 1,946,021 people have been tested for the novel virus, including 8,426 in the last 24 hours.

Since 25 February 2020, when Croatia confirmed its first case of the infection, 351,997 people have been registered as having contracted coronavirus, 7,792 of them have died, and 338,982 have recovered, including 621 over the past 24 hours.

As of 18 May, 1,406,279 doses of vaccine have been administered. A total of 1,078,103 people have received one dose and 328,176 have received both doses.

Bosnia and Herzegovina

Bosnian health officials reported 172 new Covid-19 cases on Wednesday, along with 16 virus-related fatalities.

The country’s Federation (FBiH) entity reported 83 new cases after testing 1,938 samples for the new coronavirus. The entity’s Public Health Institute said they recorded five deaths caused by the virus.

The Republika Srpska (RS) region said they registered 78 new cases of the disease after testing 600 suspected samples. This entity also reported having 10 fatalities over the last 24 hours.

Brcko District health officials said they recorded 11 new coronavirus cases, along with one fatality.

North Macedonia

Over the last 24 hours, 17 patients died from COVID-19-related complications, while out of 2,953 tested people, 87 were infected with the coronavirus in North Macedonia, the Health Ministry said on Wednesday.

The death toll stood at 5,249, and 146,499 patients have recovered since the epidemic outbreak.

At the same time, 154,891 people tested positive for the virus.
Currently, there are 3,143 active cases of infection.

Kosovo

Over the last 24 hours, eight patients died from COVID-19-related complications, while out of 4,297 tested people, 64 were positive for the coronavirus in Kosovo, it was reported on Wednesday

The death toll stood at 2,235, and 100,612 patients have recovered since the epidemic outbreak.

At the same time, a total of 107,065 people were confirmed infected out of 579,663 performed tests.

Currently, there are 4,218 active infection cases.

Montenegro

In the last 24 hours, two patients died from COVID-19-related complications, while out of 1,282 tested, 60 people were positive for the coronavirus in Montenegro, the Public Health Institute said on Wednesday.

The death toll stood at 1,566.

Since the epidemic outbreak, 99,031 people were confirmed infected with the virus.

Currently, there are 1,243 active cases of infection.
