Bosnian health officials reported 71 new Covid-19 cases on Monday, along with 25 virus-related fatalities.
The country’s Federation (FBiH) entity reported 47 new cases after testing 1,793 samples for the new coronavirus. The entity’s Public Health Institute said they recorded 17 deaths caused by the virus.
The Republika Srpska (RS) region said they registered 21 new cases of the disease after testing 368 suspected samples. This entity also reported having eight fatalities over the last 24 hours.
Brcko District health officials said they recorded three new coronavirus cases.
Croatia has recorded 116 new coronavirus cases and 30 COVID-related deaths in the last 24 hours, the national coronavirus response team said on Monday.
The number of active cases currently stands at 5,293. Of them, 1,662 infected people are being treated in hospitals, including 173 who are placed on ventilators. A total of 19,085 people are self-isolating.
Since 25 February 2020, when the first case was confirmed in the country, 350,506 people have been registered as being infected with the novel SARS-CoV-2 virus, of whom 7,738 have died and 337,475 have recovered, including 1,025 in the last 24 hours.
A total of 1,929,591 people have been tested for COVID-19 to date, including 2,329 in the last 24 hours.
As of 16 May, 1,349,447 doses of vaccine have been administered, with 1,041,215 people receiving one dose and 308,232 receiving both doses. On 16 May alone, 2,456 doses were administered.
In the last 24 hours, one patient died, and out of 2,333 people tested, 25 were infected with the coronavirus in Kosovo, the Public Health Institute said on Monday.
The death toll stood at 2,226, while 99,824 patients have recovered since the epidemic outbreak.
At the same time, out of a total of 571,317 tested people, 106,939 have been positive for the virus.
Currently, there are 4,889 active cases of infection.
Over the last 24 hours, 19 patients died, and out of 1,314 tested people 27 were infected with the coronavirus in North Macedonia, the Health Ministry said on Monday.
The death toll stood at 5,230, and 146,043 patients have recovered since the epidemic outbreak.
At the same time, 154,725 people have tested positive for the virus.
Currently, there are 3,452 active cases of infection.
