Croatia

In the last 24 hours, Croatia has performed 8,177 tests for coronavirus and 956 of them, or 11.7%, have returned positive, the national COVID-19 crisis management team reported on Tuesday.

Currently, there are 6,394 active cases in the country, and of them, 1,029 patients are receiving hospital treatment, including 92 placed on ventilators.

In the last 24 hours, the death toll related to COVID-19 has increased by 22 to 5,808.

Since the outbreak of this infectious disease in late February last year, as many as 1.485 million tests have been performed, and 258,745 people have turned out to be positive. Of them, 246,543 have recovered, including 820 in the last 24 hours.
Currently, 21,804 persons are self-isolating.

Bosnia-Herzegovina

Bosnia and Herzegovina has recorded 1,719 new coronavirus cases, while 67 Covid-19 patients died, the healthcare authorities confirmed on Tuesday.

The new results came from 5,528 lab tests performed on those who reported infection symptoms.
With the new spike in coronavirus cases across the country, Bosnia and Herzegovina now has 24,104 active Covid-19 patients.

The country’s regions have started introducing new restrictions, which mostly include the ban on work of bars, restaurants and other businesses where direct contact of people is unavoidable. Other measures include curfew hours in parts of Bosnia, mostly between 9 pm through 5 am.

While the new cases are spiking and authorities are trying to curb the virus spread with tightened measures, Bosnia and Herzegovina is expecting this week the delivery of 23,400 vaccines through the COVAX system to start mass immunisation of its population. The procedures to purchase the vaccines directly from producers have also been launched recently.

A total of 156,346 infections has been reported in Bosnia and Herzegovina since the epidemic outbreak, with 126,237 of those who have recovered to date – 894 in the last 24 hours.

The country’s Covid-19 death toll stands at 6,005.

Montenegro

The Montenegrin Public Health Institute said that 12 patients died of coronavirus-related ailments over the past 24 hours.

It said that 1,859 people had been tested for the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, including 487 who tested positive. The Institute said that 639 patients were reported to have recovered from COVID-19.

Kosovo

The Kosovo National Public Health Institute said that 10 people died of coronavirus-related ailments over the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths since the pandemic broke out to 1,786.

It said that 3,922 people had been tested for the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, including 705 who tested positive. A total of 12,808 people tested positive since the pandemic broke out.

North Macedonia

North Macedonia’s Health Ministry said that 25 people died of coronavirus-related ailments over the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 3,528 since the pandemic broke out.

It said that 3,728 people had been tested for the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, including 1,056 who tested positive. There are 15,153 active cases. The Public Health Institute said that 727 patients had recovered from COVID-19. It said that a total of 120,882 people tested positive to date.
