Croatia

In the past 24 hours a total of 9,890 coronavirus tests were conducted in Croatia, with 1,797 returning positive while 52 people died in that period, the national COVID-19 response team reported on Tuesday.

A total of 2,263 patients are in hospitals, including 261 on ventilators. The number of both fatalities and patients on ventilators exceeds figures reported on Monday, which were already record high in the past three months. Since the first case of the disease in February 2020, 324,833 people have contracted the disease, and 6,957 of them have died. A total of 304,546 people have recovered, with 1,847 recovering in the past 24 hours. There are currently 30,996 people in self-isolation. To date a total of 1,772,515 persons have been tested. As of 26 April 798,717 doses of COVID vaccines have been administered, inoculating 629,108 people.

 

Bosnia-Herzegovina

Healthcare authorities reported on Tuesday that 761 new coronavirus infections and 62 COVID-19 fatalities were registered in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the past 24 hours.

In Bosnia’s federation (FBiH) entity, 472 of the 2,466 people tested for the virus since Monday were positive and 43 COVID-19 patients passed away. In the other semi-autonomous entity, Republika Srpska (RS), 735 people were tested and 227 of them were positive, while 17 passed away due to the disease. Bosnia’s Brcko District also registered 62 new infections and two COVID-19 fatalities. A total of 196,732 people have tested positive for the virus in BiH since the beginning of the pandemic and 157,095 have recovered so far. The COVID-19 death toll is 8,418. There are currently 31,219 active coronavirus cases in Bosnia.

Kosovo

Over the last 24 hours, eight patients died from COVID-19-related complications and out of 2,148 tested people, 194 were infected with the coronavirus in Kosovo, the Public Health Institute said on Tuesday.

The death toll stood at 2,138, and 92,571 patients have recovered since the epidemic outbreak.

At the same time, 524,588 people have been tested, and 104,390 have been positive for the virus.

On Tuesday, there were 9,671 active infection cases.

North Macedonia

Over the 24 hours, 28 patients died from COVID-19-related complications, while out of 2,874 tested people, 450 were infected with the coronavirus in North Macedonia, the country’s Health Ministry said on Tuesday.

The death toll stood at 4,742, and 140,910 patients have recovered since the epidemic outbreak.

At the same time, 151,122 people have tested positive for the virus.

On Tuesday, there were 15,470 active cases of the infection.

Montenegro

In the last 24 hours, five patients died from COVID-19-related complications, while out of 1,246 tested people, 151 tested positive for the coronavirus in Montenegro, the Public Health Institute said on Tuesday.

The death toll stood at 1,478, while 96,930 people have been infected with the virus since the epidemic outbreak/

On Tuesday, there were 2,481 cases of infection.
