Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said that her new cabinet includes some “strong names and very expert people”.

“This is a pro-Serbian government. Not left or right, not East or West. This is a government which will defend our national interests. The Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) as the mainstay of this government has shown that positions are not important to us,” Brnabic said on the pro-regime TV Pink’s Hit Tvit talk show.

She said that the SNS showed that it is prepared to put people from outside the part into important posts because they could bring new energy and ideas.

Brnabic said that the choice of Tomislav Zigmanova, head of the Democratic Alliance of Vojvodina Croats, for minister of human and minority rights, should be important to all national minorities in Serbia, claiming that the country ranks high in Europe in terms of respect of minority rights.

She refused to comment reports that former Internal Affairs Minister Aleksandar Vulin would take over as head of the country’s top security service – the Security Information Agency (BIA).
