Applicants for national broadcasting licenses before REM on July 12-14

Regulatory Authority for Electronic Media (REM) Council members will hold talks on July 12 to 14 with representatives of 14 media outlets that have applied for four national broadcasting licenses, said the Journalists’ Association of Serbia (UNS).

According to the information posted on the REM website, on Tuesday, July 12, talks will be held with Tanjug TV and K1, which have submitted an application for the shared use of frequency.

TV Pink, Vesti, TV Happy, BK TV, UNA, Nova S and N1 are scheduled to appear before the REM Council on Wednesday, July 13, while Prva, B92, KCN, TV 2 and Television Kurir are planned for Thursday, July 14.

Each applicant will have half an hour – 15 minutes for its presentation and 15 minutes for REM Council members’ questions.

Based on the submitted application documents, presentations and replies to questions, REM will pass a decision, 30 days from the publishing of the list of applicants, on what four televisions will get national broadcasting frequencies.
