As of Saturday, July 9, Air Serbia is suspending Saturday and Sunday afternoon flights to London due to, as the national airline said, insufficient number of employees at Heathrow airport and reduction of services.

The halt is likely to last until the end of the month.

As reported by the public broadcaster RTS, the situation at Heathrow Airport in London is still very difficult because of the reduced services.

‘Air Serbia’ was forced to cancel yesterday’s flight between Belgrade and London but also the return flight, the national airline announced.

However, today’s afternoon flight JU386 between Belgrade and London will have to be operated by ‘Air Serbia’ because it is conditioned by the possibility of losing its historic slot – the right to land at Heathrow at a certain time.

Passengers on that flight will only be able to travel with hand luggage. On the return flight from London, JU387 will not be able to carry passengers, so the company is forced to cancel that flight.
