The Serbian government on Friday adopted new anti-pandemic measures, extending the opening hours of retail outlets and allowing catering firms to keep their outlets open.
A press release said that retail and catering facilities would be allowed to stay open till 8:00 pm on weekends with stricter control of compliance with all health measures. Under the new measures, shopping malls are being closed as well as any other public facility larger than 300 square meters. The new measures allow one person per 9 square meters in retail and catering outlets.
It said that the number of inspectors would be increased especially at winter mountain resorts.
Restaurants, cafes and bars were not allowed to open over the weekend under the previous set of measures.
