Death threat against Serbian opposition official; No fear, she says

SSP

The opposition Party of Freedom and Justice (SSP) said on Wednesday that the death threat against its deputy leader Marinika Tepic was a part of a continuing hate campaign.

The words ‘Marinika Tepic Hammer to the Head’ were painted on a fence outside the ‘Dragisa Misovic’ hospital in Belgrade.

The SSP recalled that the death threat came just a day after Serbian power company (EPS) CEO Milorad Grcic made offensive remarks against Tepic following her news conference about irregularities at the EPS.

„The offensive graffiti is part of a hate campaign against anyone who dares criticize the criminalized regime, the part said in a press release adding that the campaign is being waged by top state officials, MPs, state company CEOs and state-controlled tabloids,“ SSP said.

„We demand that the authorities find whoever wrote the messages calling for Tepic’s murder alongside messages of support to Vucic,“ it added.

The SSP press release said that whoever tried to intimidate Tepic and stop her from uncovering crime and corruption in Serbia was mistaken.

„We live in an atmosphere where they intimidate all free-minded people. In small communities, people lose jobs, existence,“ Tepic told Nova.rs, later on Wednesday.

She added she was targeted „because I do not allow the camarilla to get away with what they do, to forget all that, to easily get over theft, lies and arrogance. And because I remind the public about the humiliation of everyone who doesn’t applaud to the regime.“
