Vladimir Djukanovic, an MP of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) led by President Aleksandar Vucic tweeted on Monday he was convinced SNS would lose next general elections in the country.
„I have no dilemma that we will lose the next elections. Not because people don’t want us. The defeat will be the result of a brutal election theft due to numerous pressures and demands from abroad, particularly regarding the ballot conditions,“ Djukanovic wrote.
However, he added, „that gives me the power to further fight.“
Vucic had said the same ahead of the June elections which SNS convincingly won, partly because many opposition parties boycotted the vote.
That resulted with the new parliament heavily dominated by SNS and its partners, with only representatives of a minority as the opposition.
