European Union Delegation chief Sem Fabrizi told Education, Science and Technological Development Minister Branko Ruzic that the Union encourages the Serbian government to continue reforms in education and innovation.
A press release quoted Ruzic as saying that teachers are maintaining the vitality of the education system and adding that the coronavirus pandemic must not be allowed to stop the development of education. He said that he expects further cooperation with the EU. Fabrizi is quoted as saying that the EU has provided some 100 million Euro in grants to support the education system in Serbia and another 90 million for technological development.
The minister and the ambassador agreed on the importance of informing Serbian society about the many important successes in education achieved by Serbia and the EU.
