Kosovo Serb regime supporter obstructs trial

The Kosovo Serb head of an association of families of people killed and abducted in Kosovo protested loudly in front of a Belgrade court on Friday, just before opposition leader Vuk Jeremic was due to speak in court in a law suit filed against President Aleksandar Vucic.

Simo Spasic, a fierce opponent of the Serbian opposition, used a megaphone to shout slogans for about 40 minutes in front of the Belgrade Palace of Justice. Spasic claims that he was wrongly convicted of rape while the current opposition parties were in power. He also fiercely supports the current Serbian authorities.

Reporters said that a police patrol arrived after 15 minutes of his tirade but did nothing to stop him even though people were coming out of the building, saying that they couldn’t work with all the noise.
