Education Minister says safety most important for schools

Serbian Education, Science and Technological Development Minister Branko Ruzic said on Thursday that the government’s pandemic Crisis Staff will look into different ways of organizing school classes.

“Classes will be organized in the best interest of students and school staff,” a press release quoted him as saying and added that the most important thing is the safety of children and school staff.  

He said that school system is under pressure with teachers and staff showing a high level of professionalism and responsibility in implementing measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.  

Speaking a day earlier during a visit to an elementary school with Prime Minister Ana Brnabic, Ruzic said that there is no need to change to online classes.
