A doctor on the Serbian government pandemic Crisis Staff said on Monday that stricter measures could be imposed if the daily number of new infections rises above 1,500.
Dr Branislav Tiodorovic told Blic daily that the moment has not come to introduce a curfew again. “We have numbers which are far below those around us and in Europe because we are one of three countries with the lowest number of infections per 100,000,” he said.
The doctor said that a leap in the number of new coronavirus cases can be expected in the next 10 to 15 days. “If we fail to stop the current arrogant behavior, the partie, night event and music spectacles, we can expect a rise in numbers,” he said.
