European Commission spokeswoman Ana Pisonero on Wednesday expressed concern over the decision by the authorities in Pristina to shut down a special anti-corruption department.
“Decision of government to abolish the special anti-corruption department with the Kosovo Police raises concerns about its commitment to the fight against corruption,” Pisonero wrote on he Twitter profile.
She added that the anti-corruption department is crucial in Pristina’s fight against corruption. “This department plays a key role in this fight, as noted in the latest European Commission and EULEX reports.
