The Montenegrin Ministry of Foreign Affairs assessed that Serbia's interference in Montenegro's internal affairs is an axiom that has been present to a greater or lesser extent for decades and that the current head of Serbian diplomacy, Ivica Dacic, was and remains one of the "coryphaeus" of such a policy.

According to the Ministry’s statement, Dacic once again demonstrated his refined diplomatic repertoire and „commitment“ to the spirit of good neighbourliness, cooperation and improvement of relations between Serbia and Montenegro, but also among the countries of the Western Balkans, with a statement about the „lies“ of the head of the neighbouring state.

Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic said that Montenegrin President Milo Djukanovic continues to frighten Montenegrin citizens with lies about Serbia and the alleged Greater Serbia state policy, accusing Belgrade of interfering in the country’s internal affairs.

In a statement published late last night, the Montenegrin Ministry cites some of the examples of „non-interference“ of Serbia in the internal affairs of Montenegro.

They also mentioned the Serbian media, which, as they point out, have been conducting an unprecedented campaign against the neighbouring country the past eight months.
