The Nova portal was told by unnamed sources in the top ranks of the authorities that Marko Djuric, head of the government Office for Kosovo, will be appointed Serbia’s ambassador to the United States.

The sources did not know when Djuric would be appointed. Some of the sources said he would be in Washington in the next two to three months. Djuric will take over from Ambassador Djerdj Matkovic whose term in office expired, leaving the post vacant.

Djuric has headed the Office for Kosovo for several years only as acting director.
