PM: Institutions to deal with contract between Telekom Srbija & Wireless Media

Ana Brnabic, Serbia's Prime Minister, said on Thursday that the country institutions should deal with the contract between the state-owned Telekom Srbija and private Wireless Media company, after Marinika Tepic, an opposition politician, made the deal public, saying it was an evidence of 'organised crime.'

However, Brnabic added: „I think that anyone who sees Marinika Tepic as still credible interlocutor or source of any information is very wrong.“

Asked if the contract was „unserious source,“ Brnabic said: „Let respective institutions deal with it.“

„Whatever they (Telekom) do, they do something good. That’s why they entered an investment cycle, finally started to fight. The time when the public recourses and those belonging to all citizens were used to build private companies is over,“ she said, reiterating that Telekom Srbija almost caught up with SBB with 660,000 new users in one year.

„How they have been doing that is a question for Telekom, and perhaps SBB could learn something from Telekom since it’s catching up in the market race. But it’s not correct to use its (SBB) media for attacking the competition. That is not a fair market game,“ Brnabic said.
