Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Thursday that there will be changes in the new government and that as long as he was conscious and as long as he could reason, Serbia would not recognise Kosovo.

“There will certainly be changes (in the government). We have more than 100 new, young, quality people in parliament who want to prove themselves and learn. We will face all challenges more easily with them including the fight for Kosovo,” he told TV Pink in a live appearance following a tour of the St Sava Temple in Belgrade with the head of the Serbian Orthodox Church Patriarch Irinej.

Asked about a possible coalition government in some form, Vuci said that he is “closer to what the public believes is his other option”. According to the president, forming local administrations is not an easy thing.

“We want to bring in new people to 40-50 percent of local administrations, not because the old people did a bad job but because new times demand new people,” he said.

Regarding the Belgarde – Pristina forthcoming talks in Washington, Vucic said: „We’re going to Washington to discuss the issues we have already talked about, Vucic said. He rejected any talks about Kosovo’s final status.

„That everything is like they want it to be, that they get everything and we nothing… well, that is not going to happen.“

Vucic said that as long as he was conscious and as long as he could reason, Serbia would not recognise Kosovo.
