The European Union’s Ambassador in Serbia Sem Fabrizi said on Thursday that he learned about solidarity during his time in Serbia.

Speaking at a presentation of the competition They Are Heroes, Fabrizi said that “solidarity is part of your heroism and the risk you took to help us”. The ambassador said that the EU Delegation is tried to show solidarity with the Serbian public by organizing Air Serbia flights to bring people back home after the coronavirus pandemic left them stranded abroad and to fly in medical equipment.

He recalled that the signing of the agreement on another donation allowed the EU to engage another 200 doctors, nurses and other medical staff for a six month period.

The competition was organized by the EU Delegation in Serbia and Air Serbia. The question participants had to answer was Who is Your Hero with “more than 100 local heroes from 30 places across the country” being nominated.
