Serbian election commission specifies seats won in parliamentary elections

Serbia’s central election commission said on Wednesday that it had completed the allocation of seats to the parties and coalitions which won them in the June 21 parliamentary elections.

A press release said that the coalition rallied around the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) under the name Aleksandar Vucic – For Our children won a total of 188 seats in the 250 seat parliament.  

The coalition formed by the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) and United Serbia (JS) won 32 seats and Aleksandar Sapic’s Victory for Serbia won 11 seats.  

The remaining seats were reserved for national minority parties with the Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians winning nine seats, the coalition formed by Muamer Zukorlic and the Democratic Party of Macedonians won four seats while the Albanian Democratic Alternative and Sulejman Ugljanin’s SDA Sandzak won three seats each.
