Avdulah Hoti, Kosovo's Prime Minister, said on Wednesday that the dialogue with Serbia had o alternative and that he would lead it on behalf of Pristina, the Beta news agency reported.

Commenting the Specialised Prosecutors’ Office for Kosovoannounced indictments for war crimes against President Hashim Thaci and several other officials, Hoti said that „Kosovo institutions showed caution in dealing with that problem.“

The European Union which has been facilitating the Belgrade – Pristina dialogue on the normalisation of relations suggested it hasn’t counted on Thaci as an interlocutor in the negotiations any more.

„We maintain that the (1998-1999) Kosovo’s people liberation war was clean and cannot be on trial. Despite some events, Pristina remains ready for this process,“ Hoti said.

He added he would lead Kosovo’s delegation in the dialogue with Serbia which was to be formed, and that his Government would also establish an expert council and a state coordinator for the talks.
