The ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) electoral list 'For Our Children – Aleksandar Vucic spent slightly more than 2.4 million Euro in TV advertising during the 21 June general elections' campaign, or 59 percent of total spending by all other parties, the Transparency Serbia (TS) said on Friday, the Beta news agency reported.
TS added that the more than half of the amount was spent on ads broadcast by the state RTS and pro-regime Pink TVs.
„In the previous campaign in 2016 and 2014, SNS spent 4.2 and four million Euro respectively,“ Nemanja Nenadic, Transerancy Programme Director said.
Based on its 2020 election results, SNS will receive 3.8 million Euro from the state budget.
TS analysis showed that Vucic was absolutely dominant in the campaign by the officials, while 13 members of the Government had 229 promotional activities, or 90 percent more than at the same period last year when there was no election campaign.
