Serbians worried over pandemic more than others in region

A poll by the Valicon agency showed that Serbians are concerned over the coronavirus pandemic more than anyone else in the region.

According to the poll, 70 percent of people in Serbia are worried about the pandemic compared to 62 percent in Croatia, 58 percent in Bosnia-Herzegovina and 47 percent in Slovenia.  

Valicon, which has offices across the region, said that 40 percent of Serbians are worried about the economic fallout of the pandemic compared to 69 percent in Slovenia, 61 percent in Bosnia-Herzegovina and 59 percent in Croatia. A press release said that 68 percent of the polled Serbians are worried about their families, 41 percent are worried about their health and 40 percent about economic consequences.  

A large percentage of the polled in Serbia do not want the elections held on June 21. In mid-May the poll showed that 53 percent did not want the elections held and at the end of May 44 percent while 32 percent and 39 percent respectively said the elections should be held.
