Serbia’s industrial production drops in April

Industrial production in Serbia was lower by 16.6 percent in April 2020 than in the same month a year earlier, the Republic Statistics Office (RSZ) said on Friday.

It added that industrial production was 20.8 percent lower than the annual average. First quarter production was 0.8 percent lower than in the same period of 2019.  

Viewed by sector, the mining industry reported a drop of 0.1 percent in April, the processing industry dropped by 19.9 percent and the electricity, gas and steam supply industry by 9.9 percent.
