Daily says Kosovo government will implement all agreements

Pristina daily Koha Ditore said on Tuesday that the Kosovo government has accepted the obligation of implementing everything agreed in the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, including the Community of Serb Municipalities.

The daily said that it had been given access to a copy of the National Program on implementing the Stabilization and Accession Agreement (SAA) 2020-2024 adopted by Prime Minister Albin Kurti’s government last week, recalling that the SAA calls for a normalization of relations with Serbia and the implementation of all signed agreement, regional cooperation and efficient cooperation with the EU mission.

The document is also reported to include the agreement on forming the Community of Serb Municipalities which Kurti’s Vetevendosje (self-determination) Movement has constantly opposed. “The Constitutional Court ruled on the Agreement on the Community of Serb Municipalities in December 2015. The Kosovo government will always follow the Kosovo constitution and the Constitutional Court ruling,” the National Program is quoted as saying. Koha Ditore recalled that the court ruled that the constitution of Kosovo had been violated in all seven sections of the agreement but recommended that those shortcomings should be corrected when drafting the Community Statute.
