Kosovo’s Medical Chamber said on Wednesday that the permit to doctors and nurses from Serbia to come to northern Kosovo was a sign of mistrust into local staff, adding it could not accept that, the FoNet news agency reported.

The Chamber reacted to the medical staff from Serbia who came to oversee the situation with the coronavirus epidemic in the municipalities with a majority of the Serb population.

It asked if the move meant that Kosovo did not have enough capacity, that they did not want to work, or did not know what to do?

The Chamber said Kosovo had a sufficient number of doctors who could meet the population needs, adding there were 600 unemployed doctors.
