The Government of Serbia has decided to fully restrict the movement of citizens during the forthcoming Labour Day holiday and has asked the National Assembly to confirm the decision on declaring the state of emergency in the country.

The movement restriction decision will be in effect from April 30, 6 pm, until May 4, 5 am.

The citizens aged above 65 will be allowed to take an hour-long walk every day within that period from 6 pm until 1 am, but not farther than 600 metres from their places of residence.

The stores will be open for this population on Thursday from 4 am until 7 am.

The Government also sent the decision on declaring the state of emergency to the National Assembly for confirmation like other legislative decrees that were passed by the Government and co-signed by the President of Serbia and the Prime Minister.
