The International and European federations of journalists (IFJ and EFJ) greeted Serbia’s Government decision to revoke its previous ruling that only the members of the Crisis Team fighting the coronavirus epidemic and those authorised by them could inform the public about the health situation in the country, the FoNet news agency reported on Friday.
They also asked the Government not to detain journalists because of their reporting on the coronavirus pandemic.

The two federations said that journalists in Serbia “go through tough times,” and that since the outbreak of the pandemic at least two journalists were arrested and their equipment seized,
