Serbia’s Police Director Vladimir Rebic said that so far, 1,253 people have been prosecuted for violating the curfew, and 678 citizens for failing to implement self-isolation measures.

He stated that there was a „constant number of people” who disobey the government’s measures and that between 100 and 120 people violated the curfew, 40 of whom were over 65 years old.

Rebic told Prva TV that 303 people over 65 have been prosecuted so far for violating the measure of not leaving their homes.

According to him, the number of criminal charges has been reduced „by at least a quarter“ since the start of the state of emergency.
