The Chinese doctors who came to Serbia to help fight the coronavirus pandemic said on Wednesday that testing should be done on a mass scale to prevent its spreading.
Doctor Lin Bingliang told the state TV (RTS) that isolation measures are important to prevent the coronavirus from spreading. He added that the Chinese medical team and Health Care Minister Zlatibor Loncar concluded that Serbia has a sufficient number of respirators.
The doctor voiced the conviction that the coronavirus can be beaten, adding that it has to be tackled head on. He said that the COVID-19 disease is acute but can be cured in people with strong immunity. Li warned that doctors and other medical staff have to protect themselves from infection.
Fellow team member Pen Zikiang said that the closing of the borders, the curfew and state of emergency were all good measures during the pandemic and added that people who returned home from abroad and others who had direct contact with coronavirus patients have to be tested to find new cases as soon as possible.
