Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Avdulah Hoti called on Tuesday for a cabinet meeting to revoke the tariffs on all goods from Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Hoti, a member of the Democratic Alliance of Kosovo (LDK), called Prime Minister Albin Kurti to call the meeting or loose his coalition partner since the LDK would rather quit the government than spoil Pristina’s relations with Washington.

“The government should meet to revoke the tariffs. We can’t remain hostage to a decision which was necessary but is inflicting damages on Kosovo now. We can’t endanger our friendship with the US, that is not in the interest of the people of Kosovo,” Hoti wrote in a Facebook post.

Hoti’s party leader Isa Mustafa also called for the unconditional revoking of the tariffs.
