United Media: Supernova deceiving the public

N1

We have been unpleasantly surprised by the untruths published by Telekom’s phantom company Supernova which are deceiving the entire public by saying that United Media prevented 210,000 households from watching its channels because we asked a high price and made an unfavorable offer, United Media said in a statement on Saturday.

It said that the United Media offer to continue cooperation was the sale of programs for all Telekom users or the signing of a contract with the Kopernikus, Radijus Vektor, Telemark, Masko and Avcom companies which are being presented as part of Supernova.

„We insisted on reaching an agreement in a transparent, market manner because Supernova actually does not exist except as a marketing brand since it is not registered with the Business Registers Agency (APR). Because Supernova does not exist as a company we expressed doubts about whether they want to buy our signal and then distribute it through internal contracts to who knows who and where without us having any control over the quantity of distribution of our program,” the statement said.

The contract with United Media expired on December 31.

“It’s absurd that the Telekom Serbia should deceive its users by saying that we prevented them from watching our programs when they refused to sign a contract. We recall that under the law, the Telekom Serbia had to inform its users before December 1 that they would no longer be able to watch United Media channels,” it added.

United Media expressed the hope that Telekom Serbia would sign a contract under transparent conditions in the interest of its users.

United Media would like to inform all interested parties that they can follow our channels by choosing SBB packages or TOTAL TV and very simply through the EON platform anywhere in Serbia without contractual obligation.
