Albin Kurti, whose Self-Determination party came first at the last October’s elections, named on Monday five ministers he planned to include in his cabinet, before meeting Kosovo’s President Hashim Thaci later in the day who was supposed to give a mandate to a new premier, news agencies reported.

He named his deputy, Justice, Foreign, Finance, Education and Sports ministers.

Kurti is expected to suggest himself as Prime Minister-designate to Thaci, although, as he said, without prior consultation with the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), the party most likely to be his coalition partner.

The KoSSev website reported that there was no official confirmation about the coalition agreement on those five ministers, adding Kurti did not mention an interior minister, a disputable post in the post-election coalition negotiations.
