Members of the Serbian Parliament Security Services Committee said after an inspection visit that the Military Intelligence Agency (VOA) operated within its jurisdiction and in line with the law, a press release said on Thursday.
The committee members chose operational documents to inspect at random and were informed about VOA activities in gathering, analyzing, assessing, protecting and passing on information on potential and real dangers to the country, it added. The MPs also inspected the manner in which the agency gathered information that falls within the jurisdiction of other security services and the police.
They concluded that the agency monitors the security situation and reacts under the powers allowed by law.
The visit completes the series of inspection visits to security services, the press release said.
