The United Phantoms movement asked Serbia’s police to use the face recognition software to identify those who threw leaflets into the N1 building yard, threatening the TV’s journalists, the Beta news agency reported on Friday.

PUF called on police to also install high-resolution cameras close to N1 TV premises since they “obviously are not capable of identifying the persons who threw the leaflets several times at the same place.”

“Expensive equipment for filming and spy software which violate people’s privacy should not be used for registration of those who attend the opposition’s rallies but for identifying those who commit crimes,” PUF’s statement said.

PUF reacted to the latest incident in N1 TV building yard when 8unknown perpetrators threw leaflets during the broadcast of N1 interview with the most likely Kosovo’s next Prime Minister Albin Kurti.
