Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Zorana Mihajlovic reacted to the removal of a poster of President Aleksandar Vucic from an overpass on the Corridor 10 saying that the opposition should think about what they left behind when they fell from power.

Opposition leader Marko Bastac removed a huge poster of Vucic and former Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik from an overpass on the highway. The poster included the slogan Light at the End of the Tunnel. An identical poster was removed from a highway overpass in the Republika Srpska by an opposition activist earlier. Bastac said he took down the poster to draw attention to the fact that 139 people leave Serbia every day.

“If the Corridor 10 had been built the way that the previous governments had done, there would be no highway or overpass there. They could take pictures in a forest because there wasn’t a single meter of asphalt there a few years ago,” the Construction and Infrastructure Minister said in a written statement. “Maybe the politicians in the Alliance for Serbia (SzS) would rather remove the road and overpass because someone else built them,”she said.
