A strike closed Pristina’s Adem Jashari international airport for an hour on Monday, Kosovo media reported.

The strike was the first of a series of announced protests which would continue on Tuesday with a two-hour strike, the Independent Union of airport staff said in a statement, following the 08:00-09:00 am strike. It added that a day-long strike is being planned for August 21.

The airport management said that no flights would be canceled.
