Power prices should be raised in line with inflation, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) resident in Serbia Sebastian Sosa said on Monday.

Speaking at a presentation of a report on the implementation of the Policy Coordination Instrument (PCI) in Serbia, Sosa said that power prices have not been changed for two years, adding that they need to be raised at least in line with the rise in inflation.

Electricity prices should be raised gradually because of the social implications, he said.
