Basic Court’s unit in Kosovo’s northwestern town of Zubin Potok rejected Kosovska Mitrovica’s Basic Prosecutor’s Office demand for the detention of six local Serbs arrested on Tuesday during Pristina’s special ROSU police unit operation in northern Kosovo as unfounded, KoSSev reported on Wednesday.
The six were charged with resisting and obstructing police during Tuesday’s raid.
The defendants denied charges and said the police arrested them in a yard, forced them to the ground, cuffed them and beat them afterwards.
They accused the police of the excessive use of force. All of them had visible traces of beatings.
After the hearing, three suspects were hospitalised.
