Internal Affairs Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic said that the Friday gathering Future of Serbia was attended by some 150,000 citizens and that no single incident was recorded during the rally.

In what appears to be his response to the opposition demands for dialogue, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic gathered his supporters and members of his ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) in Belgrade. He said in his address that “anything but ultimatums and violence is possible.”

Stefanovic thanked all citizens of Serbia who behaved responsibly but he also thanked the police officers and competent city services for putting their best efforts and making the event pass with no incident.

The rally officially started just after 6 pm, but four hours earlier, people were coming in great numbers, bused from across Serbia.
