More 1 in 5 million protests in Serbia

The 1 in 5 Million civic protests were held in several places across Serbia on Thursday evening, with the town of Knjazevac added to the list for the first time.

Residents of the town of Knjazevac in eastern Serbia marched under the slogan Knjazevac Without Fear. The protesters made demanded to know who was to blame for the death of a woman from the town who died when an ruling party official’s car slammed into her car at a highway toll booth and unbiased media reporting from the protests.  

People marched at the protests in Trstenik and Zrenjanin where the crowd was addressed by independent MP Djordje Vukadinovic and journalist Zeljko Bodrozic who blamed the situation in the country on the authorities headed by President Aleksandar Vucic.  

Residents of Trstenik held the fifth protest marching through the town after gathering in front of town hall.
