World Bank experts meet Serbian minister

Serbian Construction, Traffic and Infrastructure Minister Zorana Mihajlovic met with the head of the World Bank’s office in Serbia Stephen Ndegwa to discuss a number of projects to restore roads and make regional trade easier, a ministry press release said on Thursday.

It added that World Bank expert Karla Gonzales Carvajal was present at the meeting which discussed the construction of road Corridor 10, reconstruction of the road network, reforms in the issuing of construction permits.  

Mihajlovic said that trade and transport projects are especially important to Serbia as is the reform of the road maintenance company Putevi Srbije while Carvajal said that Serbia serves as a model for other countries in turning challenges into opportunities.
