Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Tuesday that his visit to Kazakhstan will help improve trade and military-technical cooperation between the two countries.

“I believe that a lot will change with this visit and I especially see things changing in military-technical cooperation with significant initiatives in agriculture,” the Serbian president told reporters in Astana following talks with his counterpart Nursultan Nazarbayev and Prime Minister Bakytzahn Sagintayev.

Vucic said they discussed a possible strategic partner for the Petrohemija petrochemical plant, adding that he asked Nazarbayev for help with that idea.

He said he urged changes to Serbia’s agreement with the EurAsian union to allow more exports of food and tobacco products and cars.
