Serbian investigators have made progress over the past few weeks in the investigation into the killing of Kosovo Serb political leader Oliver Ivanovic, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said in Paris on Tuesday.

Speaking to reporters after a meeting with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron, Vucic said he was convinced that everything would be done to solve the case but added that there are no suspects yet.

Ivanovic was shot and killed in front of his party headquarters in northern Kosovska Mitrovica in January.

Belgrade does not have effective authority in Kosovo and could not conduct the investigation, he said.

“We handed all information to Pristina and we are prepared to cooperate because this is a crucial issue for us. We requested satellite images from some foreign services to see where the killers were hiding but were told that the images were of no use because of fog,” Vucic said.
