Serbia’s Taekwondo national team member Tijana Bogdanovic won the bronze at the European championship in Russia on Friday.
Bogdanovic took third place in the women’s flyweight category loosing to Russian team member Tatiana Kudashova in the semi-finals. Kudashova went on to beat Lethonian Ines Tarvid in the final round.
“I am happy with this medal, mainly because I felt good in the bouts, gave it my best and listened to my coach. There is no reason to be unhappy with the bronze instead of gold. I hope the medal will motivate the rest of the team,” she said.
Tijana Bogdanovic won the silver at the Olympic games in Brazil last year.
