Internal Affairs Minister Nebojša Stefanović met with the head of the Council of Europe anti-money laundering committee chief Daniel Thelesklaf

Serbian Internal Affairs Minister Nebojša Stefanović met with Daniel Thelesklaf, the head of the Council of Europe’s anti-money laundering committee Moneyval, on Tuesday (April 3) for talks on measures planned by official Belgrade to prevent money laundering and the financing of terrorism.

A Ministry statement said that Stefanović informed the Moneyval chief of “efforts and steps taken by Serbia” to date.

Serbia was named in a December 2017 report by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) as a state with “strategic deficiencies” in terms of regulations aimed at preventing money laundering and combating the financing of terrorism.
