2021 salaries higher than a year earlier, Serbian statistics office says

Average gross salaries in Serbia rose by 8.6 percent nominally and 5.4 percent in real terms from January to September 2021 compared to the same period a year earlier, the Republic Statistics Office said on Thursday.

Average net salaries rose by 8.8 percent nominally and 5.6 percent in real terms, it added.

The average net salary in September stood at 65,218 Dinars (1 Euro – 118 Dinars) while the average gross salary stood at 89,980 Dinars. It said that medial net salary for September was 50,000 Dinars which means that 50 percent of the working population received up to that amount. “Compared to September 2020, the average gross salary was 9 percent higher nominally and 3.1 percent in real terms while the average net salary was 9.2 percent higher nominally and 3.3 percent in real terms.
