Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic will chair a National Security Council meeting on Thursday.

The meeting is scheduled for 10 am at the Palace of Serbia, said the President’s Office for Media Relations.

It was previously announced that Vucic will meet at 9 am Thursday with representatives of Kosovo Serbs.

Political representatives of Kosovo Serbs requested an urgent meeting with Vucic following Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti’s announcement that the deadline set by the Kosovo government to replace license plates issued by the Serbian authorities will not be extended despite calls to do so from the US and European Union.

The deadline set by Pristina for the re-registration of vehicles owned by Kosovo Serbs expires on October 31.
