At the entrance to the building of the university professor and journalist Dinko Gruhonjic from Novi Sad, graffiti was written again tonight, after the citizens crossed over the graffiti that contained a death threat to Gruhonjic, last night. The graffiti in red paint says: "You painted for nothing! Liman."

Gruhonjic has been targeted for several days and received a large number of death threats and insults after a manipulative video of his appearance at last year’s Rebed festival in Dubrovnik appeared on social networks, in which his words about the commander of the Jasenovac concentration camp, Dinko Sakic, were presented incompletely.

The Mayor of Novi Sad, Milan Djuric, a member of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party, condemned the threats to Gruhonjic, but added that it was unacceptable that a university professor „glorifies an Ustasha criminal.“

„It’s not just hatred, but, it seems to me it is a form of vampirized auto-chauvinism,“ said Duric.

The opposition Party of Freedom and Justice warned that with such a statement, Djuric „gave fascist formations public permission to hunt people, and not only free-thinking journalists, such as Dinko Gruhonjic and Ana Lalic.“

Novi Sad journalist Ana Lalic, who is also the president of the Independent Association of Journalists of Vojvodina, is also the target of numerous threats over of certain attitudes about Vojvodina.
